Is Bhashya really free? +
Yes. The consumer extension is free during the entire beta and will stay free for individuals after launch. We plan a paid tier eventually for businesses that want a team-wide compliance dashboard.
How accurate are the grades? +
In our latest evaluation against ToS;DR ground truth, Bhashya scored 80% of sites within ±1 grade with a mean error of 0.90. Grades from frontier LLMs reading the actual policy text are meaningfully more reliable than self-reported labels (which Mozilla found inaccurate ~80% of the time on Google Play).
What data does Bhashya collect about me? +
Just the domain you are scoring. No URLs, no page contents, no identifiers, no accounts. Your follow list and detected-changes history live entirely in your browser. We have no idea who you are.
How do change alerts work? +
Once a day, in the background, Bhashya re-reads the policies of sites you've followed. If the wording materially changes (we strip noise like the 'Last updated' date and copyright year), you get a notification with a one-line summary of what was added or removed.
What if a site blocks the bot? +
Some sites (Cloudflare, Akamai) refuse our fetch. We fall back to the Wayback Machine where possible and show you a clear "we could not read this site" message otherwise. We never invent a grade.

The grading worker and extension are developed in the open at github.com/siddhu-tri2000/bhashya. Audit it, fork it, run your own.
